How is it even a "beating" without blood, bruising, or it being not in front of anyone? What this is describing is either playing around or rough sex.

I am NOT religious in anyway, however, I have read the Quran, and must say that I am disgusted by the fact that it does indeed allow wife "beating". Sure no bruising, but if I slap you in the face without leaving more than a red mark, do you not feel pain? Is it not a violation of your rights?

The Quran claims that men were created above women, that "Allah" made one greater than the other - humans are greater than animals, but should we abuse them? I know if anyone hit my dog more so than a little tap for doing something she KNOWS is wrong, I'd rip their heart out with my bare hands.

Violence has it's place - but it sure as hell isn't between a man and his wife, unless of course as stated above, it is rough consensual sex, which of course rocks, lol.

Anyone who actually believes that it is ok to hit one's wife, so long as it is in private and it does leave marks, and of course only if she is disobedient and does not respond to a good "telling off" or you refusing to sleep with her (what a joke anyways, who in their right mind would be upset about not being "allowed" to share a bed with a man who hits a woman? Lol) should try doing it in PUBLIC over here and see what happens. Go to Adelaide or Melbourne and do it in the street;

See if screaming about how she was "disobedient" or lewd because she dared to show her face will stop the many, many beautiful men who will bash your face with rocks, until you are but a bloodied pile of muck.

I don't like any religion, but I do however hate certain religions more than others - the religions that condone wife beating.

Muslims seem to wonder why they are the most hated religion - possibly because no woman in her right mind would NOT hate anyone who wants to hit her if she does not obey them. And no man with any honor or respect would like it either.
