Cracker and the N word are not, and should not be put in the same group. When I white person hears the word 'cracker' it doesn't have the same effect as when a Black person hears the n word. White folks (like myself) have not had to endure centeries of slavery or current systemic racism. So to even put those on the same scale is like comparing nails and oranges.

It's all in the ear of the beholder, uh, listener. "Cracker", "Honky", etc., are to me offensive. Who's to say if they are equally offensive as "Nigger" is to a black. Seems to me the blacks use that word all the time so maybe there's some hypersensitivity, or just bullshit, going on.
2 words - Chris Rock. Funny guy but his language and use of racist terms is worse than Kramer any time.

I wish people would stop using the excuse "well black people were slaves". There has been no slaves for 200 years, get the fuck over it. Nobody alive today has been a slave, so stop using it as an excuse for them to be assholes.
