Daniel Tammet is what's known as a savant. He has a super human ability to do enormous calculations in his head which lead him to be known as the human calculator, Certainly a remarkable individual. Savant syndrome effects a tiny minority of people and it somehow let's the person tap into the enormous potential of the human brain. Savant syndrome is also sometimes called rainman syndrome.
