This giant hornet was this guys pet for 7 months. Here she climbs onto his fingers and enjoys a snack of honey.
This is not a Japanese giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia), but a Vespa ducalis, which comes really close in size. He says his pet hornet hasn't stung him, though he has been stung by a hornet before and it "hurt somewhat". Would anyone else do this? I know i wouldn't. I have read that hornets don't attack when away from the nest. But i wouldn't want to risk is based on something i have read, you never know, the guy writing it may not know what the fuck he is talking about.
